The weather has been very comfortable here in Japan so far, and we’ve been enjoying ice cream and soft serve every day! The kids are super happy since the Bay Area is usually too cold to enjoy ice cream. Speaking of ice cream, I’m excited to share these easy and healthy Fruit Popsicles today. Growing up in the hot summers of Japan, some of my best memories involve eating popsicles with my family. I really enjoy making these fruit popsicles because they take just 20 minutes to prepare, and they’re really fun and easy to make.

What I love About These Frozen Treats

The popsicles are made of seasonal fresh fruits, no sugar added! So they are naturally sweet, low in calories, and dairy-free. Easy and fun to make. Kids would enjoy making them too! So pretty and sunny-looking. Perfect to serve as a dessert for any summer BBQ or backyard party.

Ingredients You’ll Need

Fresh fruits of your choice — I used a mix of pineapple, nectarines, kiwis, strawberries, and blueberries. You can choose from your favorite summer fruits to make your own variation. Freshly squeezed orange juice Juice from pineapples

Substitutions & Variations

Feel free to other fruit choices, such as watermelon, mango, raspberries, peaches, and grape. No orange juice? Apple juice would work, but the color and flavor will be slightly different. To jazz up the flavor, you can also add a squeeze of lime juice or lemon juice (with a tsp of zests) to the liquid.

Popsicle Molds or Alternative

I bought these Tovolo Groovy Ice Pop Molds for my homemade popsicles as I’ve heard great reviews. These ice pop molds are great because each mold can be easily detached once frozen. Alternatively, you can use small Dixie cups as your mold and they work perfectly. I hope you enjoy my colorful fruit popsicle recipe. If you manage to make it, snap a picture and share it with us in the comment section below! I’d love to see your creation.
