One particular sauce is called Fra Diavolo Sauce, and if you love Italian sauces, this is one you’re surely going to love. “Fra Diavolo” means “Brother Devil” and it is a spicy sauce usually served with seafood. It is typically a spicy tomato sauce and spiced with lots of red chili flake, though sometimes isn’t tomato-based. It is wonderful with seafood like shrimp and fish, and perfectly made for pastas like penne and linguine. The great thing about it is it’s so easy to make, with just a bit of cooking and simmering. So let’s do this! Let’s talk about how to make fra diavolo sauce, shall we? Tomatoes and Seasonings. Add the crushed tomatoes with their juices, red chili flakes, white wine, oregano and salt and pepper to taste. Simmer the Pasta Sauce. Simmer for 10 minutes (or longer) to let the flavor develop. Serve with any pasta dish or seafood, like Shrimp Fra Diavolo. Boom! Done! Looks wonderful, doesn’t it? Makes me want to smother some pasta and get eating! Nice and spicy for sure, but easy to adjust to your own preferences.
