NOTE: This recipe was updated on 6/22/20 to include new information. It was originally published on 12/1/16. These are ingredients I almost always have on hand, so if we’re pressed for time and need to come up with something fast, layered taco dip is the way to go. If you are so inclined, you can easily serve up a meaty version by layering in cooked chorizo, seasoned ground beef or ground turkey, or even seasoned shredded chicken or pork. Why not? Make a meal out of it! As an appetizer, I like to keep it vegetarian and light, as not to intrude on the main course. Growing up, my mother used to make a version of this for practically every party. A party wasn’t a party without Mom’s taco dip. Cheers to you, Mom! This dip was always the first thing to go. So! Let’s get our layered taco dip going! Here’s a step-by-step graphic to help you. Everyone who knows me KNOWS I’m one of the slowest cooks around. Patty will clock me if she hears me say “just 10 more minutes” again. No need to rush good food, but in this case, no need to draw it out. It is super great as it is. And that’s it, my friends! Grab up some chips and dig on in! Easiest and best layered taco dip ever! I love this stuff. So much better than any store bought taco dip. If you enjoy this recipe, I hope you’ll leave a comment with some STARS. Also, please share it on social media.
